    August 13, 2019, 6:00 PM @ Spruce Hall at Forest Park

    Park Board / Tree Committee meetings are open to the public and are held the first Tuesday of every month at 6 pm. In lieu of a meeting on August 6, Board members and staff will be touring various National Night Out activities being held in our neighborhood parks. The next meeting will be held one week later, on August 13 to review the Forest Park Playground replacement project.

    Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk is loosely based on the life of Margaret Fishback, the highest-paid advertising writer in the United States in the 1930s. Told through a series of flashbacks, Lillian Boxfish, now in her 80's, reminisces about her life as she walks through the dangerous streets of New York on New Year’s Eve, 1984. The Southside Book Club; Terrific books! Substantial discussion! Light refreshments! Books reserved for this discussion will be available for you to pick up at the Main Library beginning July 9.
