  1. Basic Bike Mechanic Classes at Sharing Wheels

    Roadside Repair Class Nov. 13 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday If you want to be able to fix common issues faced when riding a bike, this one-night class is for you! Learn how to fix flats, adjust gears and tighten your brakes. This class is a crash course in the basics of keeping your bike rolling. Fee: $25 Students must register and pay by the Saturday before each class. Registering for Classes Use PayPal (write "class" in the "special instructions" section) or stop by the shop to pay by cash, check or credit.  Your place is not guaranteed until we receive payment. Students must register in advance. Call the shop to confirm we have space.

  2. The Korean War – Close Air Support

    John Fredrickson; Air Force Veteran, author and 36-year Boeing employee, (retired), presents “Close Air Support during the Korean War”. He’ll discuss the vicious clash between democracy and communism, interwoven with the transition from the best fighter of World War II, the North American P-51 Mustang, to the first American swept wing jet, the North American F-86 Sabre. The role of Japan as a nearby refuge for resupply, overhaul and a safe haven will be probed along with the relationship of people and weapons from the earlier World War to the later conflict in Vietnam.

Everett Office of Emergency Management

  1. Everett OEM Auxiliary Communications Service (ACS) - HAM Radio Group

    November 13, 2019, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

    The Everett Emergency Management Office has a volunteer ACS group to help support communications in the city should regular communications fail during a disaster. To become a part of this group, you must successfully pass a background check and complete FEMA Independent Study courses: IS-100 & IS-700. It is recommended to complete FEMA Independent Study course IS-200, but it is not required. Contact Rachael Doniger, OEM Public Education Coordinator, for further details.
