Vote for Noodle

It's been two years since the puppy that stole our hearts came through the shelter doors. Noodle was found as a stray and didn't have much use of her back legs. With the support of our community, we were able to fit Noodle with her first wheelchair and she rolled her way into the hearts of her adopters, Bree and Kyle.

Now Noodle is living her best life in the Pacific Northwest and continues to inspire the work we do every day. Her heartwarming story has awarded Everett Animal Shelter a Holiday Wishes grant of $5,000 from the Petco Foundation, but she's not done yet! Noodle's story is a nominee in the People's Choice Award voting competition and we are eligible for another $5,000-$25,000 from the Petco Foundation.

We need your help - vote for Noodle today and help us continue our lifesaving work.

Noodle's story is only 800 votes behind 5th place which will be awarded $5,000! Voting closes at noon on Friday, December 20th.

three pictures of Pickles the dog

Meet Pickles, he's kind of a big dill

Pickles found himself at Everett Animal Shelter when his owners were having difficulty managing his energy level and reactivity to strangers. Currently the shelter's longest-term resident, Pickles now has a very important job: he's been given the title 'Play Group Supervisor' as he's the perfect dog to assess energy level and play-style among our canine playgroups. Pickles takes his job seriously and assists with multiple playgroups each week.

While we'd love to make his position a permanent one among our staff, we'd love even more if Pickles found his new forever home. Pickles is looking for an active, adult-only home that will provide him with many outlets for his energy and lots of patience and structure as he continues to gain confidence around new people. Pickles does well with other dogs (as any Play Group Supervisor should!) but will require a playmate that can handle his rambunctious style.

Cat care for the soul

In July of 2018, Pat was searching for a way to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals. He found himself at Everett Animal Shelter where he learned a lot about animal care and himself.

Shelly and her adopters

Shelly found her fairy tale

Last month we told you about Shelly, our sweet, talkative senior cat who had been patiently waiting for her purrfect family since July. Just in time for the holidays, Shelly went home and now has a permanent audience for her storytelling.

Your gifts are providing care and comfort to the homeless pets who need it most, for as long as they need it. You are making fairy tale endings, like Shelly's, possible.
