EVERETT – The Carl Gipson Senior Center is in full swing this fall with good food, an iconic pop dinner and a big-band celebration. The public is welcome to OkotoberFEAST on Oct. 6, a Beatles tribute dinner concert on Oct. 20, and the 13th Annual Veterans Day USO Dance on Nov. 11.
“The fall events are a great time for our senior community to come together,” says Eric Wollan, project coordinator for the center. “We’ve also got an opportunity for guests of all ages to join in the fun with the Beatles tribute show and dinner.”

Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Bite into October with a free lunchtime festival of food and vendors geared toward seniors, ages 50 and better. Graze on soups, savory bites and sweets offered for free by local organizations. Registration for attendees is not required for the event.

Here comes the fun: Beatles tribute show & dinner
Saturday, Oct. 20, 5:30-9 p.m.
Lend your ears to The Fab Three for two hours of iconic Beatles songs played in tribute to the heart, soul and musicianship of John, Paul, George and Ringo. The Seattle-based band performs without props or costumes, relying on the enduring magic of Beatles music to evoke universal life experiences and inspire whimsy.
The concert starts at 7 p.m., following a Beatles-themed dinner at 6 p.m. Seating begins 30 minutes in advance. All ages welcome. Tickets are $7 for the show and $18 with dinner, and advance ticket purchase is required. Call 425-257-8780 or go online to Brown Paper Tickets.
Celebrate service: 13th Annual Veterans Day USO Dance
Sunday, Nov. 11, 1-5 p.m.
Swinging sounds continue into November, when Route 66 helps the Senior Center celebrate veterans with a little jump, jive and wail during the 13th Annual Veterans Day USO Dance. Men and women ages 50 plus, who served the country in any branch of the armed forces, are welcome to bring their partners and enjoy honorary ceremonies, refreshments and the live, 16-piece band.
Admission is free but advance tickets are required. Tickets are available starting Oct. 22 by calling 425-257-8780.
