City upgrades parks activity registration system

swim center class

EVERETT – Beginning next month, signing up for a swim lesson or hike around Birch Bay will be a lot easier. The City of Everett is making a major upgrade to the Everett Parks and Community Services activity registration system. The new online system will be available to use beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, March 5.

Features of the new system include easier navigation, fewer clicks to register and a streamlined payment and refund process. This will improve the customer experience for the more than 13,000 class registrations that the Parks and Community Services Department receives each year.

“We’re excited to improve the registration process for our community members,” said Parks and Community Services Director Lori Cummings. “Our programs are very popular and it’s important to us that the participants enjoy their entire experience.”

A limited number of old accounts have been transferred to the new system, but most users will need to set up an account through the new site. The Recreation Office is available to assist with any issues accessing the system once it goes live on March 5. They can be reached at 425-257-8300 ext. 2.

The activity registration center may be accessed from the City’s website at once the system is live beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 5.
