Paul Bannick, award-winning author and photographer of "Owl: A Year in the Life of North American Owls" and "The Owl and the Woodpecker", will be the featured speaker for the Friends of the Library’s annual meeting on Sunday, October 27, at 2 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium.
Bannick’s work can be found in many bird guides, including Audubon, Peterson, and the National Wildlife Federation. It has been featured in the New York Times, Sunset, and many other publications. His photographs are part of traveling exhibits, and are in a special exhibit in the Chi Mei Museum in Taiwan.
After working for Adobe Systems and Microsoft, Bannick now serves as Director of Major Gifts for Conservation Northwest, an organization dedicated to protecting wild areas and recovering native species from the Pacific Coast to the Canadian Rockies.
