Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the July Civil Service Commission meeting will occur remotely via Microsoft Teams on Thursday, July 23 at 10 a.m. The public can submit public comment and/or tune in to the meeting remotely by contacting Human Resources at humanresources@everettwa.gov prior to the meeting.

Regular Meetings

Civil Service meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of every month at 10 a.m. in the Everett City Council Chambers, located at 3002 Wetmore Avenue.

Members

Commission members are appointed by the mayor with Council approval.

About the Civil Service Commission

The charter established the Civil Service Commission to oversee the administration of specific charter provisions relating to city employment. The Civil Service Commission provides for the classification of all employees except the following:

  • Day laborers
  • Municipal Court
  • Library
  • Appointive officers
