Safety Inspections

Fire Inspectors inspect thousands of buildings and properties each year.The Fire Department conducts inspections of the City’s commercial buildings to ensure compliance with the adopted Fire Code. A new fee schedule for commercial building inspections was implemented on April 1, 2019. More information can be found on the Fire Safety Inspections page.

Everett Fire Marshal's Office requires permits for tents, canopies, temporary haunted houses, ceremonial fires, blasting with explosives, LPG tank installations, flammable or combustible liquid tank installations and flame effects used with audiences.

Fire Investigations

Investigators respond with suppression units to all large-loss fires or fires of undetermined origin to conduct post-fire investigations.
