Reservoir 2 Replacement Public Hearing
The proposed project is to abandon the aging 10 million-gallon (MG) Reservoir 2 and replace it with two 2.5 MG prestressed concrete reservoirs due north of the existing Reservoir 2, and immediately west of existing Reservoir 4. The replacement reservoirs will have a total capacity of 5.0 MG. The project also includes the demolition of the existing below grade concrete Reservoir 2, construction of a new 1,400sf storage building, decommissioning the existing Valve House No. 2 and installation of buried valves to replace the functionality of Valve House No. 2, and two 24-inch diameter transmission mains between Reservoir 2 and Reservoir 1 to replace the existing “north” and “central” lines. Major above ground utility projects are considered a Special Property Use (SPU) and require a Review Process III when proposed in the R-1 zone.
The public hearing is scheduled virtually on November 12, 2020 at 9:00 AM using Microsoft Teams. If you have any questions regarding this proposal, please contact Kelsey Heyd at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 425-257-7275.
