Long Range Planning

Develops and implements long-range planning goals and policies for future City development, and participate in forums, Puget Sound Regional Council and Snohomish County Tomorrow for countywide and regional issues. 


Annexation is the process to add unincorporated areas into the City limits. Annexations must be adjacent to existing City limits and meet criteria established by State law.   If you want to find out more about annexations, contact Niels Tygesen at ntygesen@everettwa.gov.

Geographic Information Services (GIS)

Creates and maintains maps and graphic displays which are used in plans; ordinances; and information distributed to the public, including City boards and commissions such as Planning Commission, and City Council. Historic Preservation

The City of Everett has an active historic preservation program administered by the Everett Historical Commission. The Everett Register of Historic Places, Historic Overlay Districts, and historic property surveys and inventories are all part of this program focused on conserving the city's historic resources and promoting civic awareness of the city's history.  If you would like to find out more information, contact Kembra Landry at klandry@everettwa.gov.
