Our community thrives when our residents are engaged and involved with City government. You can make a difference in the community through donating, volunteering, joining an organization and staying connected with what's going on in your backyard.

Donate to
Aid animals in the shelter’s care by donating to their Fund for the Animals. The shelter also accepts donated items during regular business hours, such as pet food and other care supplies.
Everett Police youth outreach programs
Help connect youth to programs, resources and efforts to reduce youth, gun and gang violence as well as foster positive relationships between youth, their families, law enforcement and our community.
Donate money, books or time to the Library to provide financial support and volunteer assistance impacting important Library services.
Contributions to Everett Parks and Community Services help to provide excellent services, facilities and programs for the community.
Provide immediate assistance to the community’s chronically homeless residents.
Join
Volunteer your time and skills by serving on one of the City’s citizen advisory bodies.

Stay informed
Attend a City Council meeting
The council meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. except the fourth Wednesday of the month, where they meet at 12:30 p.m.
Use the City's website to subscribe to electronic lists and receive periodic updates like news releases, green gardening newsletters, emergency alerts and more.
Attend a public meeting, stream it live, or read the agenda and minutes to stay tuned in to current City initiatives and happenings.

Volunteer with us
Volunteer your time and skills by serving on one of the City’s citizen advisory bodies.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
CERT provides community members with an 8-week training course that teaches basic disaster survival and rescue skills.
Improve the lives of animals in the community by joining a highly structured, weekly team. Don’t have a weekly time available? Consider fostering- it’s fun for the whole family!
Help keep the City’s parks beautiful and the programs vivacious.
Join EPD at an open house or volunteer with the department to provide clerical support, crime prevention programs, or neighborhood volunteer activities.
Library volunteers are tasked with a variety of duties from cleaning books, assisting library computer users, and special projects relating to the Northwest Room.
Adopt-a-Street or refill mutt mitts to keep the City’s water, streets and environment free of debris and healthy for all.
